- This is a completely free project; however we still expect the game to be completed to a high standard.
- To ensure the above, you must be able to provide examples of your previous work. It doesn't need to be professional, anything that displays what you can do is fine.
Commitment:
- The most important thing is that you will be passionate and committed to the project.
- You need to be able to meet deadlines and complete the work that has been assigned to you.
- It is well understood that at times you won't be able to meet deadlines due to unforeseen circumstances, however if this becomes a consistent issue or if you are not willing to communicate these issues don't expect to last long on the team.
- If you wish to be part of the project we expect certain level of communication and commitment. Many aspects of the project rely on another part being completed before it, if someone is taking too long to fill their role larger parts of the project can halt entirely.
- For the foreseeable future this is a free project, meaning no one is being paid.
- We are planning on releasing the game for free for everyone to enjoy.
- Keep in mind forgoing pay comes with more creative control over what you do, you can be part of the team, which means your opinions could matter if you choose to voice them.

This is something that may be revisited in the future if the game is widely successful. However for the moment our focus is on making the base game, things like voice acting are considered icing on the cake, meaning it'll be one of the last things done to the game after everything else is complete.
If you are a voice actor, or a similarly skilled late development individual like a translator I welcome you to put your name down to submit an application however chances are it won't be required for a long time, if ever.
If you wish to join the Within a Lifetime development team please provide your name, email and any skills you have that are relevant in making a visual novel.
If you are successful in this first step you'll be emailed back shortly (<24 hours) with more details about the project. This is not an automated process so please be patient if you don't get a response right away.
Before applying make sure you have carefully read all of the above.
If you believe you fit the above requirements please fill the following form.
